Document Templates

Templates save you time by providing standard document checklists for common return types.

Built-in templates. Each return type (Personal Tax, Company Tax, VAT, Payroll, etc.) comes with a default checklist for both UK and US. These are maintained by ReqVault and cover the most common documents.

Custom templates. You can save your own templates from Settings → Templates. This is useful if you have firm-specific document collection patterns that differ from the defaults. Once saved, your custom templates appear in the Add Submission form alongside the built-in ones.

To create a custom template:

1. Navigate to Settings → Templates
2. Click Add template
3. Enter a name (e.g. "Self-Employed Sole Trader UK")
4. Select country and base return type
5. Customise the document list — add, remove, reorder requirements
6. Save

The template is now available to all users in your firm.
