Sending Magic Links to Clients

Each submission generates a unique, time-limited magic link. Clients use this to upload documents — no account or password required.

Automatic send on creation. When you create a new submission with the "Send the upload link to the client now" checkbox ticked (the default), the client receives an email immediately with the link.

Resending the link. If the client says they didn't receive the email or can't find it, open the submission detail page and click Resend link. The same link is sent again (the existing magic link doesn't change). There's a 24-hour cooldown on resends to avoid spamming.

Reissuing the link (generating a new one). If the link has expired or you want to invalidate the current one, click Reissue link on the submission detail page. A new magic link is generated and emailed to the client. The old link no longer works.

Link expiry. Magic links expire after the configured number of days (default 30, settable per client or per submission). Expired links cannot be used. You can reissue at any time.
